Der Italiener Thoro aus Avellino liefert uns nun seine erste offizielle Beat-EP namens Fucking Cosmonauts, einen Soundtrack für Kosmonauten, die zum ersten Mal in die grenzenlose Weite des Weltalls blicken. Elektronische, wonkige Klänge verbinden sich mit dem Kopfnick-Gefühl des Hip Hop. Eine berauschende kleine EP ist geboren, Augen schließen, mitreißen lassen, lieben!

Thoro, what do you use normally to make music?

I use the heart and then a pc (fl studio), an akai mpd24, a midi keyboard, a lot of vst and I chop my samples by vinyls and cassettes. Generally I chop post rock and jazz music.

What do you want to express with your music?

Making music for me is vital, because I do not have much attitude with the words and then I can express myself better in general. Then music becomes a refuge.

How would you describe the music scene in your area?

I live in a little town in the south of italy near Naples and I can see the music scene in my area is growing day by day. We have a lot of new musicians but is a standard scene. We have not people, that try to bring innovation in hip hop culture. I’m tryng to do that and luckily I’m not alone.

How important is it for you, to play live shows?

Live shows is very important for me. In this moment is very important to play in dj sets so as to be able to spread the more experimental hip hop, that still has very few listeners in my area.
